Overview

Introducing the worlds first ultra-efficiency pool pump with electron condensor technology. Breakthrough condensor technology stores electrons in a dielectric until the power is called upon. Best in class 3-Year warranty. Additional two-year warranty available for only $99. Then when the motor rotates into the optimal position, the stored energy is released, boosting the energy transferred to the impeller. The result is a significant energy reduction, up to 80% over traditional pool pumps.

EP-2 is recommended for pools under 12,000 gallons.

EP-4 is recommended for pools 12,000 to 20,000 gallons.

EP-6 is recommended for pools that are 20,000 - 35,000 gallons.

EP-8 is recommended for pools that are 35,000 - 50,000 gallons.

Beats the ROI on Variable Rate Pool Pumps. Until now...pool owners have had to choose between affordability and energy efficiency. Regular single speed and two speed pumps are inexpensive, but they are power hogs, using 2,000 watts of power or more. Variable speed pumps with complicated electronic circuits are efficient but reliablity is low and costs are high. Those complicated electronic circuits are known to fail prematurely and repairs can be as much as a new pump. EcoPump is ultra-efficient, yet simple - no expensive digital controller is required. However, it's still compatible with most controllers if you already have one.

All Pool Pumps Should Run 24 Hours Per Day for Best Water Quality. Now you can run your pump twice as long, for half the cost. In the past, many pool owners ran their pumps just 4-8 hours per day to reduce their electric bill. That is great for utility bills, but 16-20 hours of stagnant water is not good for water quality. Stagnant water is a breeding ground for bacteria and algae.

It is important to note that commercial pools are required to filter their pools for 24 hours in most states. 24 hour filtration is directly related to higher water quality and reduced chemical demand. Plus equipment such as pool controllers, pool automation, and ultraviolet disinfection systems can all keep working around the clock.

My pool pump which came from a local hardware store was on its last leg since I bought my home and I was anticipating it’s failure just by the sound of it and how the unit overheated frequently. I began to do research and found that there are newer pumps out there that have onboard computers and many settings to match up to your pool. A good friend of mine is in the pool business and was going to get me a deal on one of these units. After looking into them more in depth, I found that many of them tend to fail due to the onboard computer being damaged by either the elements or just by the vibration of the unit. Not to mention there is only a one year warranty on those types of units. My friend in the business was able to get for $950 (and that was $200 off the retail price)! Not being happy with the research on these units, my friend gave me some options, none of which I liked due to the power consumption and lack of warranty. After searching doing much research I came across the eco-pump. Unfortunately I could not find many reviews online (hence the main reason I am writing this one) and I pride myself in getting all the information about all products prior to buying them. I contacted the company and was given a very detailed description of the product and I also learned that there a 3 year warranty. So after looking online more and reading about how most pumps with onboard computers fail because of the complexity and just knowing that a pool expert is needed to properly set it, I told my friend that I’m going to go with the eco-pump. I originally had a 1.5HP pump and went with the EP-4 since it was advertised as a 1HP but has a true rating of 1.65HP. This would give me a low setting for normal operation for energy efficiency and a high setting for vacuuming the pool. After installation was complete, I turned the unit on and it has been running like a charm ever since. I take the 30 day guarantee very seriously and if the unit did not live up to my standards, I would have surely sent it back. I am very happy with my purchase and if I can assist others trying to do research regarding pumps, my advice would be to go with eco-pump and don’t think twice. Can you get less expensive units? Yes but I guarantee you’ll be paying for it in your electric bill if you decide to go with the cheap brands, not to mention you risk the chance that it may fail after a year and you are no longer covered by the warranty. It’s a major decision and I recommend that you do your research, but if you have any doubts what-so-ever, give them a call and you will be amazed by the customer service. They want you to know their products and are willing to answer all your questions. In my mind, there is not a better pump out there and I’m sure you will find the same. Keep in mind that no other manufacturer will give you a 30 day money back guarantee so don’t pull the trigger on any of those other units unless you’re willing to accept any problems that come with it. Hopefully this will assist you in your research and it will make your decision easier. My final recommendation: Purchase the Eco-Pump, it’s the best solution out there.
