Yes. Its sensors detect other cleaners and it runs alongside robotic, suction and pressure cleaners without interference. Skimming the surface first means less debris reaches the floor for the robot.

An automatic rhythm of cleaning and solar resting that you can tune to your weather. The default Medium setting cleans for about 45 minutes, then rests in the sun for 20; at night it switches to 90-minute rests. The Long setting, for sunny areas, cleans for longer with shorter rests, and the Short setting, for low-sun conditions, does the opposite. The skimmer adjusts between its day and night cycles by itself.

It keeps the surface of the pool clear. A 6-litre basket collects leaves, bugs, pollen and anything else that floats, with room for a lot of it. It has four cleaning modes: Eco, with three session lengths; Edge-Free, for the open water only; Leaves Capture, which hunts leaves rather than patrolling the perimeter; and Edge Cleaning, which uses wall-wash jets to spray the walls and scoop up what floats off. The app adds manual drive, scheduling, monitoring and a Pick-Up function that brings the skimmer to you.

It charges from its own solar panel and includes an external charger for cloudy stretches. Infrared sensors above and below the water steer it around walls and obstacles, and it runs alongside a robotic or suction cleaner without getting in the way.

Eco is the default: it cleans the whole surface including the edges and takes short breaks in the sun to recharge. Edge-Free works the open water only and Leaves Capture goes after leaves without patrolling the perimeter. To change modes, open the app, tap the > symbol, choose a mode (Eco offers three cleaning-to-rest interval options; tap Save after choosing one) and tap Clean. In Eco mode, while it rests on solar standby between sessions, the battery LEDs blink green every six seconds.

Two ways. Its built-in solar panel recharges it in sunlight while it works or rests, and an energy sensor steers it to the sunniest part of the pool; the app shows the charging status. For cloudy days, winter and a guaranteed full charge, use the included external charger: the LEDs blink to show the level as it charges, light fully when it is done, then turn off.
