Dolphin pool cleaner brushes

Brushes do the scrubbing. When the ribs on a PVC brush are worn flat, or an active brush has lost its bristles, the robot still drives but the algae film stays. Dolphin brushes differ by platform and by type, so the model number decides the replacement.

Find the right brush for your Dolphin

Three brush types cover the range: solid ribbed PVC brushes, combined brushes with foam rings, and the powered active brush.

Start with your model

Choose it in the list and only its brushes stay on the page.

Look at the brush you have

A solid ribbed brush is PVC. A ribbed brush wearing foam rings is a combined brush (the rings are sold separately under climbing rings). A bristled brush that spins on its own is an active brush.

Replace in pairs

Front and rear brushes wear together. Two-packs and four-packs are the normal replacement.

When to replace Dolphin brushes

The ribs are flat or the brush is cracked

Worn ribs cannot lift algae. Cracked brushes and torn inserts come off in the pool.

The robot slips

On combined brushes the fix is usually the rings; on active brushes, the whole assembly.

Dolphin pool cleaner brushes: your questions

How long do Dolphin brushes last?

Two to four seasons for most pools. Rough finishes and daily cycles shorten that; smooth tile and a few cycles a week stretch it.

Which brush suits my pool surface?

PVC and combined brushes suit every finish. The Wonder Brush, with its ring surface, is for very smooth or slippery surfaces where other brushes lose grip.

Do I need tools to replace a Dolphin brush?

Most brushes snap into place. Some assemblies are held by a screw at each end; a Phillips screwdriver is all that is needed.
