Genuine Maytronics parts · Dolphin
The motor unit is the sealed block inside the robot that holds the pump motor and the drive motor; the impeller is the fan that pulls water through the filter. A clogged impeller mimics a dead motor and costs nothing to fix, so start there. When the motor really has failed, this page lists the exact unit for each platform.
Motor units are the most model-specific part a Dolphin has: drive type, climbing ability and the filter indicator all live inside.
Unplug the power supply, open the impeller cover and clear the hair and leaves. A robot that moves but does not pick up, or hums and stops, is usually this.
A robot that will not start at all is more often a cable, swivel or power-supply fault than a motor.
Units with the same name exist in floor-only and climbing versions, with and without the LED. Pick your model and use only a unit on its list.
The impeller and its screw: the first part to check when suction drops.

With the impeller clear and a known-good cable and supply, a pump that hums without turning, or tracks that no longer drive, points to the motor unit.
The unit is sealed. Condensation or water visible inside means the seal has gone; replace it before it shorts.
Motor units are the most expensive part on the robot. Inside the Maytronics warranty a motor fault is a claim, not a purchase.
FiltersFine and ultra-fine panels, baskets, cartridges, bags.
Climbing RingsThe foam rings that let the brushes grip the wall.
BrushesActive brush assemblies, front and rear brushes, PVC and combined packs.
TracksTrack pairs by platform, drive wheels, gears, guide wheels.
Power Supplies120W and 180W units, timer and Wi-Fi versions, cordless chargers.
CablesSwivel cables by length, two- and three-wire cables, power cords.
Caddies and CoversThe Universal Caddy, covers and every caddy part.
Remote ControlsBluetooth, manual-drive and Wave remotes, holders.
Other PartsClicker, ClearPod, hooks, flaps, spring filters and the rest.
Clear the impeller and test the robot on a known-good power supply and cable. If the pump hums without turning, the tracks no longer drive, or there is water inside the sealed housing, the motor unit has failed.
Often, yes: the body, filters and tracks have years left. Compare the unit's price with a current robot, and ask a Pool Pro before buying an exchange unit.
An exchange part. Maytronics supplies the unit on the understanding that the old one is returned, which is why these are quoted through a dealer rather than sold off the shelf.
Send a Pool Pro your robot's model number (on the label under the handle) and a photo of the old part. We will confirm the Maytronics part number and where to get it.
