A robot cleans the pool; the Niya Aquasweep cleans everything the robot misses. Both the Aquasweep S1 and the Aquasweep S10 are cordless, rechargeable handheld vacuums from Maytronics with a 180-degree rotating brush head for steps, corners and tight spots, a telescopic pole for the floor and a short handle for spas and hot tubs. They shut off automatically when lifted out of the water, run up to an hour or two per charge and weigh about seven pounds.

The Aquasweep S1 is the original: brushless motors, a 792 GPH suction rate, up to two hours of cleaning per charge and a one-year warranty. The Aquasweep S10 adds a Turbo mode for stubborn debris (about 30 minutes of turbo or up to an hour of normal cleaning per charge), a 120-micron filter that holds 50 oz of debris and an adjustable pole and short handle that reach down to 10 inches of water in a spa or hot tub.
Neither replaces a robot for a whole pool; they are for the five-minute jobs between cycles, for spas, and for small above-ground pools where a robot is overkill. Both work on liner, gunite, fiberglass, tile and mosaic surfaces and come with stocked replacement filters and chargers.
Turns 180 degrees to get into corners, along steps and under ladders.
Telescopic pole for the floor, short handle for spas, hot tubs and close work.
Powers down when lifted out, protecting the battery and the motor.
Filters, suction heads, pole adapters and chargers are stocked part numbers.
Turbo mode, a 50 oz 120-micron filter and a pole that reaches spas as shallow as 10 inches.

View the Niya Aquasweep S1Yes. The brush head rotates 180 degrees, so it follows steps, corners and the spots a robotic cleaner tends to miss.
Up to two hours per charge on the Aquasweep S1. The Aquasweep S10 runs up to an hour in normal mode or about 30 minutes in Turbo mode.
Yes. Both come with a short handle for close work; the Aquasweep S10's adjustable pole and handle work in water as shallow as 10 inches.
No. It is a spot cleaner for steps, corners, spas and quick clean-ups between robot cycles. For a whole pool, pair it with a Niya Sonar, Niya Tracker or Dolphin robot.
