Manufacturers set warranty terms from their failure data, so a three-year warranty on the Dolphin Premier and Sigma and the Clear S and UV reflects the components inside: commercial-grade motors, heavier cable jackets and power supplies built for daily use. Two-year models are not unreliable, but the three-year models are the ones built to run a cycle a day for years.
Warranties only apply through authorized dealers. Grey-market and marketplace sellers often cannot register the robot, which voids coverage before the box is opened. Every robot we sell is registered to you as a new unit from an authorized source, and our Pool Pros handle warranty questions directly rather than sending you to a call centre.

Open-box units are new, unused robots with opened packaging and carry the warranty listed on their product page, in most cases the full manufacturer term. Refurbished units list their own warranty.
