An oval pool combines long straight lanes with two tight curved ends. Choose by the overall inside length, not the width, and favor a track-driven cleaner that can turn cleanly at each radius. Lightweight above-ground models handle most oval floors; a wall-climbing model adds coverage on rigid steel or resin walls and can run on a schedule when the pool collects daily debris.

Use the longest inside measurement when checking a robot's rating. A cleaner sized only to the width may not have enough cable or cycle time to finish both ends of a 30 ft oval.
The robot should redirect at the curved wall and cross on a different angle. Keep the floating cable straight before the cycle; cable tension near one end is a common reason an otherwise capable cleaner leaves the far curve unfinished.
